Coyote
Valley Day Care
Middletown, CA
This project
involved designing, building and installing a complete turn-key child
day care building located on the grounds of the Coyote Valley Elementary
School in Middletown, CA. The facility is operated by a private, for profit,
day care provider.
Scope
The facility is a modular building
(five 10’x 32’ modules ) (1,600 s/f), fabricated off-site
in the WCR Sacramento facility, transported to the site and crane set
on a concrete perimeter foundation. (See photo in gallery).
Solution
/ Benefit
The facility was designed and built by WCR in 1998 under contract from
the for profit child day care organization – which continues to
operate the facility. WCR handled all processing of the design and engineering
specifications incident to obtaining approval by the Department of the
State Architect (DSA). (All buildings located physically on public school
property require DSA approval). (WCR deals almost weekly with DSA in this
regard). The project was completed on time and within budget.
