Westwood Library Facility
Westwood, CA

This 38’x 40’ (1,520 s/f) modular building. The building per se was fabricated in ICG’s component company WCR’s Sacramento facility and transported to and installed on site by crane on a concrete perimeter foundation. Due to snow load requirements the roof was constructed using conventional wood trusses installed on-site. (See photo in gallery)

Solution / Benefit
The project was a combined / hybrid facility that allowed for rapid and cost effective fabrication of the building per se off-site – coupled with on-site installation of the standard wood truss roof system to accommodate the steep pitch necessary to carry the snow loads typically present in the winter months in the Westwood area. The project was completed on time and within budget by WCR in 1997.
